1. Cucumber Scrub With Mint And Sugar

Fruits and vegetables are a must in your diet, but you can also use them to create amazing beauty treatments, like this body scrub made from cucumber, mint, and sugar. Slice half a cucumber and place it in a blender, with two tablespoons of freshly cut mint leaves.

Add 3 cups of granulated sugar to a container, and mix it with five tablespoons of olive oil. Then, add the cucumber/mint puree to the mix and stir until all the ingredients are combined. You can store this body scrub in small containers and keep it in the fridge – your skin will be glowing.

2. Make Your Own Lip Balm

The homemade lip balm will take a little more effort, but it’s worth it. Using low heat, combine 3 teaspoons of jojoba oil, ½ ounce of beeswax, 2 teaspoons of solid coconut oil, and 1 teaspoon of shea butter.

Stir all the ingredients until the beeswax, and the oils have melted, and then remove the mixture from the heat and add ½ spoon of Aloe Vera in its pure form, 5 drops of essential oil of your choice, and ¼ teaspoon of vitamin E oil.

Pour your lip palm into tiny containers, and there you go. This can be a cute and thoughtful gift to offer someone, and you can even get creative and print personalized labels.

3. Make A Body Scrub Using Lemon And Thyme

Knowing how to care for your skin at home is the ultimate secret for glowing, smooth skin. This body scrub will do wonders for your skin, and it will leave you smelling amazing.

Coat 6 tablespoons of sea salt using one tablespoon of virgin olive oil, and then squeeze a whole lemon into the mix until you get a puree. Sprinkle a few fresh thyme leaves to give your scrub a distinctly fresh scent.

4. Make A Ginger And Coconut Body Scrub

And if you prefer sweeter scents, heat ¼ cup of coconut oil in a saucepan, and add 1 tablespoon of chopped ginger. When the ginger’s juice has been transferred into the oil, remove it from the heat and use a filter to extract just the oil.

Don’t let it cool, and add ¼ cup of a cold-pressed oil of your choice, like jojoba or almond, to bring the temperature down. Then, kosher salt and granulated sugar into the mix – ¼ cup of the first and ¾ cup of the latter should be enough.

If you want to add an extra scent, mix four drops of your favorite essential oil, pack your DIY body scrub into a container, and start your personalized skincare!

5. Make Your Own Facial Mask

This face mask is super easy to make, and your skin will thank you! Only three ingredients: 1 tablespoon of orange peel powder, one of gram flour, and one of water, and that’s it. Mix it all until you obtain a consistent paste and then apply it to your face, evenly distributed in a thick layer.

Allow it to dry for 5 minutes, and then wash your face using warm water, and dry it using a soft towel. If you want to obtain the best results, you should do this routine two times a week., followed by a water-based moisturizer.

However, if you start experiencing a burning sensation when you apply the mask, remove it immediately to avoid an allergic reaction. People who suffer from skin conditions, like eczema, or dryness, should also avoid DIY face masks, as it might irritate their skin.

6. Make Your Own Natural Shaving Cream

This shaving cream is all you can dream of – it is appropriate for sensitive skin so that everyone can use it, and it smells amazing. Add 1/3 cup of virgin coconut oil to the same amount of shea butter to a small saucepan and then put it over low heat. Stir until everything is melted and transfer the liquid to a bowl.

Then, mix in ¼ cup of jojoba oil and five drops of your favorite essential oil and stir, stir, stir. When all the ingredients have been thoroughly combined, put your mixture inside the refrigerator and wait until it’s solid. Then, use a stand mixer and whip it until you obtain a fluffy cream. Use it right away or store it somewhere cool and dry.

7. DIY Lip Gloss

Quit spending money on store-bought lip glosses – we have the perfect homemade recipe right here. Pick a jar that allows you to pour the mix easily, and add the ingredients: 2 tablespoons of cosmetic grade beeswax, 4 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of extra virgin coconut oil and 2 tablespoons of cocoa butter (to add a chocolaty flavor to it).

Fill a pot of water and put the jar inside the water, to improvise a double boiler. Wait for 10 to 15 minutes until all the ingredients melt, and then add 3 capsules of liquid vitamin E to the mix. Pour it into appropriate containers and let it cool before using this nourishing lip gloss.

8. Make Your Own Body Butter

If you want healthy skin, there is nothing better than creating your natural cosmetic products. Melt one cup of raw shea butter, preferably organic, with ½ cup of solid coconut oil using a double boiler.

Let the mixture cool for half an hour, and then add ½ a cup of liquid almond oil. Store it in the fridge until it’s partially solid, and then whip it until you obtain a nice, soft cream. If you want to add a couple of drops of any essential oil, be sure to choose one that is children friendly so the whole family can enjoy this amazing body butter.

9. Create Your Own Lip Scrub

Sugar and olive oil are everything you need to achieve those luscious lips you have always wanted. Mix 6 tablespoons of brown sugar with 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. If you want your lip scrub to taste better, mix ¼ tablespoon of vanilla extract, and you are ready to start exfoliating.

Make sure to break up any lumps while mixing to obtain a soft paste – you can make larger amounts and store it to use later. When applying, perform circular motions with the tip of your finger for about a minute, and then use a moist cloth to remove the scrub softly.

10. Homemade Body Wax

If you don’t like to wax at the beauty salon, you can always create your own wax mix at home. Get a saucepan and add ¼ cup of water, 2 cups of white sugar, and ¼ cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Place the pan on the stove, over medium temperature, and wait until it starts bubbling.

After 5 minutes or so, the color of the mixture will begin to change. When it starts looking like honey, remove it from the heat and store it inside a clean container – one that can be heated – and let the mix cool for about two hours. Whenever you need to use it, heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds.
