1. Use a cotton swab and lemon to remove highlighter stains
A lot of people like to use fluorescent text markers to highlight books. It is a technique that makes it much easier to study and memorize important pieces of information.
However, if you use this technique you will most likely end up smudging the book as the ink still takes some time to dry out completely.
To remove these stains all you need is a cotton swab and a lemon. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze a little bit of juice on the cotton swab, then rub it over the stain and it will quickly disappear.
2. Use lemonKool-Aid to clean a toilet
This is a great solution if you ever need to clean your toilet bowl and realize that you are out of cleaning products. Open a package of Kool-Aid and sprinkle it on the toilet.
Grab the toilet brush and then scrub it properly. Not only will it clean stains and dirt, but it will also leave the toilet smelling fresh.
You can actually use any other powdered drink that contains lemon acid. Alternatively, you can also use toothpaste to clean the toilet.
3. Store seeds with silica packets
You can store your extra seed packets safely to use them in the following year. Put them in an airtight container with four or five silica packets to keep them fresh!
The silica will simultaneously prevent the seeds from germinating and getting moldy by absorbing all the moisture.
4. Use Micellar Water to clean sneakers
Every woman has a micellar water bottle in their bathroom. This product is an all-in-one: it washes the face, removes makeup, and moisturizes the skin. That’s why it gained so much popularity over the past few years.
Micellar water is also extremely effective in cleaning sneakers. On a cotton round, pour a little bit of micellar water and then gently rub the dirty spots on your sneakers. This method is perfect if you have just a small dirty spot and you don’t feel like washing your sneakers.
5. Get your drinks cold faster
So, you forgot to put the beer in the fridge and your visitors are almost arriving. We have all been there. Don’t panic. Here’s a quick tip that can save you: wrap a wet paper towel around the beverage and store it in the freezer.
