How to fix a small drywall damage
The majority of drywall damages are minors because they consist of the nail and screw holes, cracks, and popped nail heads. You don’t need to have a drywall repair kit for this repair. Just follow the instructions below carefully.- With your finger or a putty knife, fill the small holes and dents with lightweight spackle.
- Make sure the spackle is perfectly even with the rest of the drywall.
- Let the spackle dry for 15 to 30 minutes (or the time recommended to you by the manufacturer).
- Use fine-grunt sandpaper to smoothen the area.
- Do touch-ups of the paint.
2. How to repair a drywall crack
- By using a utility knife, widen the crack a little bit they brush the dust away.
- Fill the crack with lightweight spackle.
- Apply a very thin layer of spackle on the entire surface, then smooth it with a puffy knife.
- Let it dry for 15 to 30 minutes then smoothen the area with sandpaper.

- If the crack is wider than ½ inch, then you need to cover it with self-adhesive fiberglass drywall tape.
